From concerts to first dates to cinema delights, everyone will have a memory of visiting Bradford’s much-loved Odeon. Starting life as the New Victoria in 1930, it was the first cinema in Britain purpose-built for "talkies”.
In 1950 it was renamed the Gaumont, before closing in 1968 to undergo a redevelopment. The cinema and bingo hall reopened on August 21, 1969 with the Odeon name.
Can you spot yourself or someone you know queuing to see to that all-important blockbuster?
