An industrial development will transform a site off Leeds Road after new plans were approved.

Bradford Council has granted planning permission for three industrial units to be built on the plot of land off Buck Street.

The site has been the subject of similar plans in the past, although concerns about access led to the development stalling.

Now a newer application for the site, by T Uddin, has been approved by planning officers.

Limited supply of mid-sized industrial units in Bradford is an 'obstacle,' with demand far outstripping supply

One unit will be 179 square metres, another will be 131 square metres and the third 123 square metres.

The development will also include parking for 10 cars.

Planning officers said: "The surrounding area is predominantly industrial in nature with commercial premises slightly further away fronting Leeds Road. The principle of the development is considered acceptable. "
