SARAH Millican is among the acts announced for a Celebration Gala Weekend at St George’s Hall this summer.
As revealed in the T&A, singer Beverley Knight will headline A Night of Variety during the weekend gala event. Also on the bill for the show, on Saturday, June 1, are comic Sarah Millican, Britain's Got Talent winners Collabro and electric string quartet Escala.
The following day, Sunday, June 2, The People’s Music Hall celebrates the re-opening of the historic concert venue - at 1853 prices. Featuring local theatre groups, the event will showcase the city’s homegrown talent in an evening of music, dance and song.
Tickets for The People's Music Hall (Age recommendation is 16-plus) will be sold from 5 shillings (25p in new money), the price that tickets would have cost when St George's Hall officially opened in 1853.
