WEST Yorkshire Police have confirmed that a man has died following a road traffic collision involving a HGV lorry on the M62 slip road at Chain Bar roundabout in Cleckheaton on Saturday at 3:35pm.
The tragic accident, involving a number of vehicles, led to the westbound exit from the M62 at junction 26 being closed for most of the day.
Dramatic pictures from the scene showed a lorry on its side off the carriageway, while air ambulance and fire crews attended.
The Telegraph and Argus contacted West Yorkshire Police to ask the name and age of the man, as well as where he was from, but the force was unable to reveal those details at the current time.
Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 1120 of March 9.
