Two males were in custody in Bradford on Monday night on suspicion of attempted child abduction.
Traffic officers in the Bradford district stopped a vehicle to carry out checks after receiving information from colleagues in North Yorkshire.
Two males have been arrested in the Shipley area, officers have reveal.
Details of the location of the alleged offence are yet to be revealed by police.
PC Pearson, a Bradford-based traffic officer, tweeted: “Stop check due to information received from @NYorksPolice, two males now arrested on suspicion of attempt abduction of young children. Now in cells at Bradford.”
