INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed Saltaire Brewery, an independent brewery based in West Yorkshire, has opened its doors to support other breweries.

It is offering a range of new services including contract brewing and packaging into cask, keg and bottles.

Following an investment of over £1 million and 18 months of construction and development, its new 8,000 square foot packaging plant is home to a state of the art Moravek botting line, capable of bottling more than 100,000 units per week.

This latest investment complements its 40 barrel brewhouse and enables it to now offer a full end to end service to other breweries.

This includes recipe matching and product development through to end packaged product, ready for distribution, as well as any individual service in that process.

Dan Spampinato, Operations Director at Saltaire Brewery, said: “At Saltaire we’re extremely focused on quality and consistency.

"Being able to manage our whole production process on site allows us to take full control of every aspect of making great beer.

"We’re confident that our processes are of the highest standard and our beer is delivered to our customers in the best possible condition, wherever they are in the world.

“This was a massive project for us and the building we took over needed a lot of work to get it to the professional, SALSA accredited standard we have today.

"We’ve already expertly packaged 0.5 million units of our own beers since we went live and we’re now ready to offer our high quality services to other breweries across the country.”

The packaging plant has already created an additional three roles for the growing business, which produces and packages 56,000 litres of its own beer each week for UK and international distribution.

These achievements are further proof that Saltaire Brewery has made remarkable progress.

It was only formed in 2005 by Tony Gartland and it has been creating beers since 2006.

Its beers are distributed across the UK and it currently exports to 12 countries. It is also a Department of International Trade 2019 Export Champion.

The brewery is also home to the Tap Room, monthly Beer Clubs and the annual Saltaire Beer Festival.

On site tours and tastings are also available every Saturday and Sunday.

Anyone who cannot wait to sample what Saltaire Brewery has to offer could head to the SIBA Beer X festival in Liverpool tomorrow and Thursday.

The brewery has a stand (179) at the Exhibition Centre in the city, as it launches its contract brewing and packaging services.

The festival is the UK's premier beer and brewing trade event.
