A NURSERY in Heaton has retained its Good rating following a recent inspection visit by Ofsted.
Children’s Place Daisy Hill was praised for its “meticulous monitoring of children’s progess”.
The inspection report said: “Any gaps in individual and groups of children’s learning and development are swiftly identified.
“Children are well supported as they transition between rooms and prepare to leave for school.
“Staff complete comprehensive observations and assessments of children’s learning. This helps to provide a consistent approach to support a child’s learning in the setting and at home.
“Children’s individual needs and emotional well-being are fully fostered throughout the process.”
To become Outstanding, the nursery was told to improve its induction process for new staff so they receive “precisely targeted training”, and improve further current systems used to monitor staff performance.
