THE Bradford Central Lions Club celebrated International Women’s Day 2019 in style, with the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Cllr Zafar Ali, turning up to offer his support.
There were various stalls with plenty of items on sale at Friday's event, and people were queuing up to say how much they had enjoyed their day.
One stall owner expressed her gratitude for the opportunity on offer, saying: “We had a great time setting up and holding our first stall at the woman’s international event."
Another said: “Everyone was really pleasant and I got to meet some interesting people with all different skill sets. It was inspiring to hear their own experiences and journeys."
Finally, one attendee said: "The women’s day showed support for women and speakers shared personal experiences with the audience, it was very heart warming and supportive."
