A NEW enterprise is being delivered from a town's former post office.
The Kirkgate premises that were home to Silsden Post Office for 110 years have been transformed into a cafe and bar.
Behind the venture are Helen Rampling, who formerly ran the now-closed Bilaluci across the road, and Gavin Hawker.
They were supported by a £36,330 grant from a European Union fund for rural businesses and community assets.
The couple salvaged the front section of the old post office counter and have incorporated it into the new-look premises, which were packed for the opening weekend.
Now renamed The Old Post Office, the building – which the Cathey family had operated as postmasters for more than 60 years – closed in 2017.
The post office facility was incorporated into nearby Twiggs Newsagents.
