A TAKEAWAY fire on Leeds Road kept fire officers in Shipley on their toes last night.
The Hungry Monkey, which opens from 7am-2pm during the week and 8am-2pm on Saturdays, is closed on Sundays but that did not stop the incident from taking place.
A spokesperson for Shipley Fire Station said: "It was only a minor fire, which looked to have been caused by an electrical issue.
"We think it had been burning for a few hours but fortunately there wasn't a lot of damage.
"There are flats above it though, so we had paramedics check a couple of people out but they were fine."
The spokesperson confirmed that officers attended the scene between 10:45pm and 12:30am.
