THERE will be multiple live broadcasts from The Broadway Shopping Centre this week.

Television presenters will be at The Broadway, Bradford throughout the week as part of a national BBC campaign called ‘We Are Bradford’; national and regional shows including BBC Radio 4, BBC Breakfast, Look North and BBC Radio One’s Newsbeat will showcase the city with a week of stories about Bradford.

Ian Ward, General Manager at The Broadway, Bradford, said: “We’re extremely excited to be the live hub for so many TV and radio shows.

"The BBC Blue Room will be exhibiting the latest innovations and digital content, there will be the opportunity to try out virtual reality, artificial intelligence, filming in 360 degrees and even have a go at forecasting the weather on a green screen.

“Interactive facilities will be available from 11am until 6pm; I’d urge any digital fanatics to head to the Centre next week and experience future technology for themselves.”

Harry Gration and Sabbiyah Pervez from BBC Look North, who are both from Bradford, and their colleague Paul Hudson, will deliver news live from The Broadway.

There will also the chance to meet presenters Keeley Donovan and Amy Garcia, both of which will be available between 12-2pm from Monday to Friday.

BBC Asian Network will be broadcasting the Big Debate programme live from the Centre on Thursday. The One Show and Radio 1’s Newsbeat will also cover We Are Bradford throughout the week.
