TO celebrate the launch of a new book and to commemorate the fascinating history of the well-known former Bradford printing firm, Lund Humphries, a local author will be holding a talk and book signing.

The event is at Bradford Industrial Museum on March 13 at 12pm, where Charles Lubelski will give a talk and sign his new book Pride, Passion & Printing.

The book is about one of the world's great printing firms, Percy Lund Humphries, and the role it played in the development of fine art publications and cutting edge printing technologies in the 20th century.

Graham Hall, a local historian, will also be showcasing his research into Lund Humphries, with examples of their print material at the Bradford Council-run museum.

The event is also a chance for ex-employees of Lund Humphries to come together over coffee and cake.

Councillor Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Health People and Places, said: “Bradford has a proud history of printing, much of which is depicted in the displays at our Industrial Museum and this book gives a unique insight in to the work of this former local company.”
