Parish councillors will get to vote on the final draft of a long-term plan to help shape their district’s future.
Members of Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish Council were also told most of the work on the Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) for their villages has now been finished.
Cllr Tito Arana, chairman of the NDP working group, said Bradford Council would be involved over the next 12 months and anticipated there would be some “back and forth” over the plan’s details between the district council and the working group.
“Many people have put a lot of time into this and we’re now in striking distance of having it completed,” he said.
“Once it becomes law, while it does not mean there will never be any more building developments here, it will give our area some protection.”
The finished NDP will be a statutory document outlining key priorities.
