Eunice Greenwood helps perform the honours at the Buzz club opening
SPRIGHTLY 99-year-old Eunice Greenwood was top of the shop when a new bingo club opened its doors.
She helped cut the ribbon as Buzz Bingo, in Alice Street, Keighley, was launched.
Eunice is a popular, long-standing member at the club, formerly Gala. She said: “I’ve won hundreds of pounds over the years but that’s not the reason I go – it’s to socialise and get out of the house.
“Everyone knows me at the club and they look out for me. It’s a real community.”
Mark Taylor, marketing business partner for Buzz, said Eunice was the perfect choice for the VIP role.
“The club could have chosen a big ‘celebrity’ for the opening but it wanted somebody who meant something to it – and that person is Eunice!” he added.
