POLICE found a glass hammer onboard a scooter which was being ridden suspiciously around Bradford East last night.
Officers from the Operation Steerside Enforcement Team spotted the scooter being ridden in a suspicious manner in an area of the city which is being targeted by people stealing dashcams from cars.
When police asked the rider of the scooter to stop, he failed to stop so was following by police until he ditched the bike and ran away.
Officers searched the scooter and found a glass hammer inside, which officers said will have "prevented" further crimes from taking place.
Sergeant Andy Milner, from Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "Great work guys, thanks for helping out.
"Hopefully [we will] catch the culprits but I’m sure you prevented some crimes."
