Three children have been taken to hospital after a house fire in the Bradford district tonight.
The blaze was caused by a tea towel left on an electric hob, firefighters have revealed.
The incident happened in Hillcrest Drive, Queensbury, at about 9.30pm.
A West Yorkshire Fire Service spokesman said: “House fire caused by tea towel left on electric hob, crews used water from domestic supply to extinguish fire and also used a high powered fan to clear house of smoke, 3 children transported to hospital, 1 with smoke inhalation and 2 for precautionary check ups, occupants alerted to fire by smoke detectors actuating.”
Fire engines from Illingworth and Fairweather Green attended the scene.
