A DEVOTED couple will celebrate 50 golden years together today.
Marilyn and Alwyne Clapham, from Baildon, tied the knot on February 22, 1969, in the Bradford Register Office.
The couple, who are huge Bradford City fans, will mark the milestone with friends and family from near and far in a party at the football ground tomorrow.
And today, Marilyn, 68, and Alwyne, 70, will have a selection of photographs taken at City Hall to mark the anniversary, as they don't have any pictures from their wedding day.
The couple met at Bradford's String of Beads club and had their first proper date at Bradford City.
Speaking about Alwyne, Marilyn said: "He was just so funny. We've laughed ever since. We are just compatible."
The couple, who have raised thousands of pounds in their time together, have three children - Andrew, Lee and Joanne - and four grandsons.
And Marilyn's top tip? "Just keep laughing, when times get tough, you've just got to laugh about it."
