A CAR which was stolen a week ago has been recovered by police following a chase.

Police spotted the stolen white Audi in the early hours in Bradford but the driver failed to stop for officers and a pursuit began.

The chase ended when the occupants of the car dumped the Audi and ran off, but police said they will be checking the vehicle to track them down.

West Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Unit tweeted: "Audi stolen last week. Recovered in Bradford tonight after a pursuit.

"Will now be forensically examined to try and identify occupants who abandoned the car."

The RPU also tweeted about another Audi, this time a white Audi Q5, which was recovered on the outskirts of Bradford city centre on Saturday 16.

The driver has since been arrested and charged with dangerous driving and handling stolen goods.

The RPU said: "This one was stolen from Bingley on the 13th.

"Driven dangerously in a police pursuit on the 16th and recovered. Driver arrested and charged with dangerous driving and handling stolen goods. Remanded into custody."
