Here is a round-up of some of the sentencing hearings held at Oxford Crown Court between Tuesday February 12 and Friday February 15.

Tuesday

Wazi Mohammed, 23, Becklow Road, London

Jailed for 40 months for two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, after he was caught walking down Cowley Road with more than 100 wraps of crack and heroin ‘plugged’ in his anus.

Ryan Taylor, 24 and Daniel New, 29, both inmates at HMP Bullingdon.

Both men were handed a four-month jail term, concurrent with their original sentences, and must pay victim surcharge after both were caught with a mobile phone charging behind a television in their cell.

Wednesday

Thursday

Tyrese Jones, 19, Windmill Road in Oxford.

Jailed for a total of four years after admitting two counts of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin and possession with intent to supply cannabis, as well as possession of cannabis and possessing criminal property.

He also admitted two counts of resisting arrest.

Friday

Joshua Champion, 23, of Field Avenue, Blackbird Leys, Oxford.

Handed a community order to include rehabilitation activity requirement for 15 days and drug rehabilitation requirement for nine months after he admitted at Oxford Magistrates’ Court one count of possession with intent to supply cannabis. He must also pay a victim surcharge and the drugs were forfeited to be destroyed.
