A MAN has received a suspended jail term after he twice breached an order and went on holiday without telling police.
Bradford Crown Court heard Saeed Iqbal, of Carlisle Road, Bradford, did not inform police about his plans to travel to Morocco or tell them he had a new passport, which he was required to do so as part of a criminal order handed down by the courts in 2016 when he was convicted of indecent assault.
The 43-year-old went on holiday for a four day break with his friends and police were alerted when he landed at Manchester Airport's passport control.
The court heard that Iqbal's grasp of the English language meant he did not fully understand the terms of the order.
Judge Colin Burn sentenced Iqbal to a 10 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.
