PLANS for a new 26-place nursery in Low Moor have been refused.
The application was submitted for land on the corner of Hanworth Road and Common Road (picture: Google Streetview).
The proposals came in for criticism from the nearby Hill Top CE Primary School and other nurseries in the area.
The decision report said: "The car park for the proposed development is proposed to be accessed via Common Road which is a busy route with cars parked on the highway at most times of the day, it is also close to the entrance to industrial units within an industrial estate."
The report said the use will result in an "increase in vehicular and pedestrian movements" within the area by users of the proposed nursery "that would be in conflict with industrial traffic and the users of the adjacent site".
