A DRIVER escaped unhurt after overturning their car after crashing into a lamppost on Bradford Road, Shipley, this morning.
The black hatchback had lost its front end and demolished the lamppost in the crash at 5.06am.
A police spokesperson said only one car was involved and the driver reported the accident themselves.
No arrests had been made.
The accident happened on the A650 next to Branksome Drive outside Cliffe Villa Motors.
Bradford Council's highways department have now attended the scene, recovered the vehicle and cleared up.
A bollard was covering the exposed electricity cables of the lamppost.
The car had ended up in the bus lane on the busy road.
A police van was diverting traffic into the outside lane and it was causing delays in the morning rush hour.
More details when we get them.
