POLICE investigating a report of a sexual offence which is alleged to have occurred in Bradford more than 20 years ago have issued a description of a man they would like help in identifying.

The man is reported to have been known as ‘Mick’ and is said to have lived in the Wortley area of Leeds.

‘Mick’ is described as being white and was believed to be in his mid-thirties at the time of the alleged offence in the summer of 1998, which involved a male teenager.

He was of medium build with short black hair and was believed to be around 5ft 7ins tall.

He was clean shaven and spoke with a local accent.

Detective Inspector Ian Cottrell, of the Bradford District Safeguarding Unit, said: “We have carried out a number of enquiries to establish ‘Mick’s’ identity and are now appealing to the public to contact us if they can assist with our investigation.”
