THE new Sunbridge Wells markets in the Underground Quarter are growing ever stronger and manager Paul Gallagher is delighted to see small Bradford businesses thriving.
Sunbridge Wells' owners, Jonathan White and Graham Hall, have generously given up the stall space free of charge to use between 10am and 6pm every Friday and Saturday.
The venture began on the first weekend of February and small companies making their way in the commercial world have snapped up the opportunity
Mr Gallagher enthused: "We have 12 stalls at the moment and more and more traders are coming on board.
"They're all local start-up businesses, many of which had only been trading online, but they've taken well to physical trade.
"Each week it gets busier and there's a real mix. There's a vinyl shop, one that does handmade candles and another that produces baby knitwear.
"There's even a stall run by someone that used to work on Harry Potter, selling models and designs."
Asked what the future holds for the Bradford markets, Mr Gallagher said: "We hope to keep spreading through the complex and become the best indoor markets in the area."
