IT is estimated more than 150,000 people are experiencing mental health problems in the Bradford district.

To help support people from across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven districts who are experiencing mental health problems, ACS Business Supplies, the Bingley-based office supplies, IT solutions and print services company, is sponsoring the mental health charity, The Cellar Trust for the year.

Based in Shipley, The Cellar Trust supports people in crisis through its award-winning Haven service, and delivers a range of other services supporting those recovering from mental health problems to rebuild their lives. In 2018, The Cellar Trust helped over 3,500 people, including 800 people in crisis situations.

Harry Stevenson, Commercial Director at ACS Business Supplies, said: “We believe all successful businesses should put something back into their local community, and we’re proud to support The Cellar Trust. We want to look at a range of ways we can help, including fundraising. We like to think outside the box when it comes to raising money, whether it’s climbing Kilimanjaro or trekking in Machu Picchu, so we’ll be challenging ourselves to make a real difference to the Trust and the people they help.”

Kim Shutler-Jones, Chief Executive Officer at The Cellar Trust, added: “There are estimated to be over 150,000 people experiencing mental health problems in the Bradford district, which means services like ours are vital to the local community. We’re very grateful for the support we’re to receive from ACS Business Supplies, which will help us to provide the help people need and deserve. We’re also developing services to help local businesses with workplace wellbeing and this will be a great opportunity to support the work ACS does in this area.”
