WEST Yorkshire Police carried out a Steerside Operation in the Great Horton area yesterday, with hundreds of vehicles targeted in a major crackdown.
Neighbourhood Policing Team two, the Steerside team, Taxi Licensing, DVSA and HMRC were all involved in the operation.
Vehicles were seized for no insurance, no road tax, failing to stop and a number of other offences.
Taxis were served with prohibition notices due to faults.
A large number of tickets were issued for no seatbelts, running traffic lights and mobile phone use.
An arrest was made for failing a roadside drugs test.
Hundreds of other vehicles were checked for insurance, driving licenses, red diesel and vehicle standards.
Bradford West say they are dedicated to improving the safety of its roads and take a zero tolerance stance on anyone driving illegally.
