POLICE have been using horses as they step up patrols of the Long Lee area of Keighley.
The action is in response to a spate of burglaries in the area.
On Saturday officers reported that a suspicious vehicle had been seen in Long Lee.
It was a dark-coloured VW Golf.
Police tweeted an appeal that if a member of the public sees one acting suspiciously in the area, they are asked to obtain the registration and call the police.
Police said they were in the area looking for the vehicle.
Councillor Caroline Firth tweeted: "We are working with the fantastic Keighley team to reassure the community in Long Lee that officers are doing all they can to catch the culprits responsible for a recent spate of burglaries."
Mounted officers patrolled on Friday, focusing on Long Lee and the town centre.
