THERE will be a sizzling new breakfast menu starting today at the Wrose Bull pub, in Shipley, which has just reopened after an extensive refurbishment programme.

The pub, managed by Mitchells and Butlers, had been closed for 10 days while work went ahead and reopened its doors to customers on Thursday evening.

Landlady Chrissy Hall said she was thrilled.

“It’s absolutely fantastic and looks completely different. I’m over the moon with it.

“We only opened the first night for a few hours but got a lot of people in who had been waiting for the work to finish and we got some great feedback from them,” she said.

Mrs Hall, who hails from Whitby, has been at the Wrose Bull for 10 years for Mitchells and Butlers and for the last year as general manager. She said she had warned their customers over the preceding months that they would have to close for few days.

“They understood as it was only for a short time and the result has been worth it and even though we only opened for a few hours on Thursday night a lot of them came in to have a look. We were quite busy.

“The main changes are to the decor with modern colours of grey’s blues and purples. It looks so different.

“The layout is still the same but with lovely new furniture and new carpets it looks wonderful and fresh and modern.”

The pub is one of the company’s ‘Sizzling’ pubs and has an extensive food menu.

Much of the food is served on sizzling skillets which is popular with the local customers.

One particular change which starts today is one which will go down well with the early birds.

Breakfasts will be part of the menu from 10am to 12 noon at the Wrose Bull and is offering a range of choices.”
