ANOTHER petrol station in Bradford has applied for a licence to sell alcohol 24 hours a day.
Bradford Council has received a an application by MRH East Bowling for the 24 hour sale of alcohol at East Bowling Service Station on Wakefield Road.
The BP service station also includes a Spar convenience store.
If approved the licence will also allow the store to sell “late night refreshment” including hot food and drink from 11pm to 5am.
Alcohol licences for petrol stations in Saltaire and on Barkerend Road are approved
Last month similar licences were granted to two other service stations in the district.
The plans for 24 hours drinks sales at the Shell station on Bingley Road, Saltaire, and the Spar store at a filling station on Barkerend Road had both attracted numerous objections.
Residents living near the stations feared alcohol sales could lead to a rise in anti social behaviour in the areas.
However, Bradford Council’s District Licensing Panel granted the licences.
People have until February 28 to comment on the plans.
