A CHARITY which tackles loneliness and isolation in Bradford will launch a dementia- friendly café following a donation from a housebuilder.
Lidget Green Healthy Living Centre received £1,000 from the Persimmon Homes Community Champions scheme, which will enable the group to start work on its café in Lidget Place.
Paul Briggs, from the charity, said: “Persimmon Homes’ donation was the final money we needed to hit our fundraising target which means this year will be able to increase our services.”
The charity offers elderly residents in the Lidget Green area a range of activities and programmes aimed at reducing loneliness and isolation, while aiming to increasing greater activity.
