POLICE have cordoned off an area of Heysham Drive, in Holme Wood
A forensic tent was placed over a pile of rubbish, which included a discarded mattress, last night.
A number of police vehicles were present along with crime scene investigation support.
A witness said the police were there until after midnight last night and believed a man had been arrested nearby.
A patrol car remains at the scene today.
West Yorkshire Police's Inspector Paul Rushton said: "At 9.03pm on Saturday, February 2, police were called to an incident in Heysham Drive. An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances.
"Further reports will be provided in due course."
