SIR - Bradford Council has approved plans for a substantial development off Manchester Road, to be called Centreside (T&A, January 28). This will comprise of over 300 one-bed flats, over 200 two-bed flats, and 30 three-bed flats. This development, long overdue, is to be welcomed.

However, there seems to be an issue here with the approved number of car parking places - a mere 118.

LETTER: Vice is worth the wincing

These days car ownership is vast and ever increasing. One assumes that there could be at least 600 adults living in Centreside.

Where will they all park? It seems to me that 118 car parking spaces could be totally inadequate, and one has to wonder why such a small number was approved by Bradford's planners.
