BRADFORD Grammar School says no data was compromised by what it called a "random phishing attempt."
Some pupils and staff clicked on an email link which took them through to a fake website.
However, the school said its IT experts took immediate steps to stop any further distribution of the email and to change any compromised passwords.
In response to the phishing attempt, Simon Hinchliffe, headmaster of Bradford Grammar School, said: “This was a random phishing attempt and no data was compromised.
"A small number of staff and pupils clicked on a link within an email which led them to a fake website.
"Our IT department immediately took steps to prevent further distribution, change any compromised passwords and blocked access to the fake website.”
