BRADFORD City fan Kenny Morse died after drowning in a pond in Barnsley, it has been confirmed.
An inquest into Mr Morse's death is due to be opened at Sheffield Coroner's Court in the next few days. Following a post mortem the cause of death has been confirmed as drowning.
Mr Morse, 56, of Durham Court, Farsley, was in Barnsley to watch Bradford City face Barnsley FC, but never made it to the game.
His body was found by Smithies Pond in Barnsley at around 8.30am on Sunday, January 13, after he went missing from hospital the day before.
His death is still being treated as unexplained, South Yorkshire Police confirmed, and enquiries are ongoing.

At the time police appealed for information to enable them to piece together Mr Morse's movements prior to his death.
Detective Chief Inspector Simon Palmer said: “We know he arrived in Barnsley by public transport on the morning of Saturday, January 12, with the intention of attending the Barnsley football match. He left the Courthouse public house at around 10.20am.
“Mr Morse was later found with a head injury at around 2pm in an underpass on Pontefract Road. He was taken to hospital in Barnsley but left later that evening, before being formally discharged. The CCTV image shows him leaving hospital that day.
“A missing person enquiry was then launched before his body was found the following morning."
