DANNY Tetley has revealed he is going to Los Angeles to work with Robbie Williams.

The singer, who shot to stardom on the X Factor, spent time with Robbie on the show as he was being mentored by the star’s wife Ayda Field Williams.

He visited Robbie’s mansion in Los Angeles as part of the judges’ houses section of the show and has now revealed he has been invited back.

Danny said: “My next trip is off to LA to meet up with Robbie.

“We’ve become really good friends.

“He’s got about 80 songs he has already written.”

Danny said he wasn’t sure whether he would be recording one of them with Robbie but they would look at the songs and decide on one for Danny’s next single.

He is also looking forward to catching up with Robbie’s elder daughter Teddy at the family’s Beverly Hills property as he says she is one of his biggest fans.

“Teddy idolises me!”

Danny said she became a fan after watching him on the X Factor and he gave the six-year-old a Bradford Bulls replica shirt at her birthday in September.

The 38-year-old from Holme Wood made it through to the semi-finals of X Factor in November.

Unfortunately he then went out at that stage having failed to impress viewers and receiving the fewest votes, sending him packing without a chance to sing for survival.

Ayda Williams said that Danny “has been my hero this entire competition, I’m going to miss him so much, but I’m still going to Yorkshire and having a Tetley’s bitter with him”.

The X Factor was not Danny’s first tilt at fame through a Simon Cowell talent show, having reached the final 75 in the first series of Pop Idol in 2001, which shot his fellow Bradfordian Gareth Gates to fame when he finished second.

Danny, who attended Salt Grammar School, also entered Popstars: The Rivals a year later, but was unsuccessful in his audition.

The singer, who was based in Benidorm for the X Factor series, is currently resting his voice before his appearance in the X Factor Live Show tour which starts in February.

But he will sing a few songs at the fundraiser for Anthony Ryan at Low Moor Club tomorrow night and holding a meet and greet with fans who want their picture taken with him.

He is raffling tickets to the Leeds Arena date on the X Factor Live Tour and Robbie has also promised to send him a signed item he can raffle on the night to raise further funds for Anthony’s funeral costs.
