STUDENTS at Hanson School have worked together to raise £1,000 to support people suffering from homelessness in Bradford.
The school’s student leadership team held a non-uniform day in aid of the Bradford Soup Run, raising £1,000, which was presented to the charity’s director John Tempest at the school by students and headteacher Richard Woods.
Mr Tempest said: “I was very impressed with the questions the pupils asked about our work, and even more impressed with the donation which will be used to help provide for those we meet on our soup runs.”
The charity was chosen after head girl Aymie Greenwood heard about the work the charity does, and decided she wanted the school to work together to try and tackle the issue of homelessness in the city.
