THE first a new lecture series being held at the University of Bradford was held last night, covering the issue of children’s eating habits.

The Café Scientifique talk, held at the Theatre in the Mill at the university, was led by Dr Ellie Bryant, a lecturer in psychology.

She spoke for around 30 minutes, discussing issues relating to children’s eating to try and bust myths around food and explain her ideas to the public.

She said: “The discussion looked at whether the childhood obesity epidemic is real, what role does psychology play and what is the solution.”

The Café Scientifique talks are open to the public and are held monthly at either the Theatre in the Mill or the National Science and Media Museum, and are free to attend, with no prior booking necessary.
