A PEDESTRIAN railway bridge linking two parts of Baildon is to be replaced, closing the footpath that uses it for several weeks.
The footbridge between Upper Fyfe Lane and Hawthorn View is being dismantled and replaced with a new structure.
The project will also see the footpath reconstructed and repairs to the masonry.
Network Rail will be using road rail cranes to lift the new bridge into place.
A spokeswoman for Network Rail said: "We understand that this work can be inconvenient and we would like to thank users for their patience whilst this work takes place."
Bradford Council is issuing a temporary prohibition of traffic order to enable the works to go ahead. The order runs from 8am on Monday, January 28, to 6pm on Friday, March 15.
No alternative route for pedestrians will be available. The nearest bridge is at Kirklands Road.
