THE Yorkshire in Bloom group have announced that the 2019 annual competition is open for entries from all sectors of the community and across the region.

Yorkshire in Bloom is a voluntary organisation that administers the Britain in Bloom campaign across Yorkshire and aims to encourage communities to make lasting improvements to the environment.

Entries are invited from any sized community, from small villages to large towns and cities.

The group also welcomes entries from the business community, retail and commercial premises, caravan and camping sites, visitor attractions and pubs and restaurants.

Young people are not forgotten as there is a special class for school gardens and environmental projects.
