THE family of a woman who died after a collision in Branksome last week have paid tribute to their 'shining star'.
Jackie Bradnick, who was a mum, grandmother and great-grandmother, was on foot when she was involved in a crash in Poole Road just after 11.05pm on Friday.
The 71-year-old was taken to Poole Hospital. Despite the efforts of doctors, she died after her arrival.
A statement released by her family today reads: “Jackie - an amazing mum; nan; great grandma; sister and friend, she was adored by all those who knew her - a shining star.
“She will be remembered for being so funny, always up for a laugh, so full of energy, she loved playing around with the children and also was great at making fun.
“She loved Elvis Presley and took a trip to Graceland, always dancing around to his music.
“We are heartbroken that she's been taken from us too soon when she still had so much to give.
"She will be deeply missed.”
Specially-trained officers are continuing to support the family and an investigation into the collision is on going.
Police initially said they were investigating a suspected hit and run. It has now been established that all vehicles involved stopped at the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting 18:491.
