A PANTOMIME of giant proportions is coming to the Bradford Playhouse as Drama Unlimited announced its upcoming production of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Viewers of all ages will be transported into a world of giants, magic harps, hens and even beans as they journey with the cast into the land of Merrydale, a town ravaged by an awful giant and his henchman, Fleshcreep.

Drama Unlimited, a Bradford based theatre company, is teaming up with local dance school, Dance Factory Studios, to bring the show to the Bradford Playhouse, where there will be plenty of silly jokes, cows and even a live growing Beanstalk.

Drama Unlimited is a theatre group that helps its local community with a percentage of all tickets going to charity. It's slogan is: “having fun and helping others”.

This year the production will be raising funds for MND Association and T.S Aurora Bradford Sea Cadets.

Dance Factory Studios is based in Denholme where children are encouraged to follow their dream and excel at it.

Panto-goers can expect to see the good fairy, Moonbeam, doing battle with evil henchman, Fleshcreep, with the awful giant Blunderbore watching from his castle in the clouds.

The entire village's money has dried up and poor old Dotty Trott has to send her beloved Daisy to be sold. However, Jack comes back with a bag of beans instead of gold! What will they do?

The production is being performed within half-term between February 20 and 23.
