A CONCORDAT between Bradford Council and the National Science and Media Museum was been signed at an event at Kala Sangam.
The agreement was signed by Dame Mary Archer, the Chair of the Science Museum Group, and Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, the Leader of Bradford Council.
The event was also attended by Kate Willard, the Chair of Arts Council England Area Council, Jo Quinton-Tulloch, Director of the museum, and Phil Barker and Bobsie Robinson, from Bradford Council.
The concordat highlights a commitment by the council and the museum to work closer together to create greater public engagement with science and the arts.
This includes working together in areas of culture, the Bradford UNESCO City of Film, tourism and the council’s libraries and museums.
In the past, the Council has supported the museum, providing it with £1 million in 2016 to improve visitor numbers and experience.
