A MAN has been arrested after going on a "Christmas crime spree" around Shipley over the festive period.
The 39-year-old man was arrested yesterday in Allerton for a number of offences committed in Shipley over Christmas.
He has been charged with ten offences and has been remanded into custody by police.
He has been charged in connection to overnight burglaries at the Marie Curie charity shop in Market Square, Lloyds Pharmacy in Bingley Road, and St Peter's Church in Moorhead Lane.
He has also been charged with attempted burglary at Boots Pharmacy in Market Square, and an offence of shoplifting.
As well as the charges for what Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Team described as a "Shipley Christmas crime spree", he was also charged with possession of Class A drugs, failing to appear when summoned to court, two breaches of court orders and was detained for a warrant.
