STAFF at Santander in Bradford are supporting a food bank in the city. A collection point has been installed at the company’s Darley Street premises, for both staff and customers to bring in donations of non-perishable food.
Staff recently met Lashman Singh, founder of the Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank, which is handing out more monthly parcels than ever before, to meet rising demand. The food is packed up by volunteers and distributed by community organisations to those in need.
“Santander has a longstanding commitment to community work, this is why we’re proud to support the Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank,” said Shazad Ali, branch community co-ordinator. “This initiative has been greatly received by Santander staff and customers alike.
