POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman was hit by a car in Shipley yesterday.
The woman, aged 72, has suffered a serious ankle injury after being hit by a Nissan Juke in Market Street, Shipley, at around 5.35pm.
The woman was in the road when the collision happened. She was taken to hospital for treatment, but her injury is not thought to be life threatening.
The car involved stopped at the scene.
