GUISELEY stormed into the semi-finals of the West Riding FA County Cup with a 4-0 win over Yorkshire Amateur.

Paul Clayton fired a brace and Guiseley's victory was confirmed by Will Thornton and Kieron Ceesay.

Clayton scored his first just two minutes in after latching on to Alex Purver’s through ball to deliver a clinical finish.

Thornton who netted his side's second at the far post. Ceesay had a debut to remember as he scored Guiseley's third one minute into the second period.

Clayton wrapped up the scoring with his second shortly afterwards.

The commanding victory now sees Guiseley host Barnoldswick Town, of the Hallmark Security League Premier Division, in the semi-final on a date to be decided.

Meanwhile, Thackley crashed to a 3-1 home defeat to Worksop Town in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division after a late collapse.

The Dennyboys took a 19th-minute lead but that prove the highlight of their night.

Worksop equalised in the 55th minute and it looked like Thackley would be getting a share of the spoils until the visitors converted an 86th-minute penalty.

Thackley's night would soon get worse as they were caught on the break and Worksop scored their third through an injury-time strike.

Steeton are in action tonight as they host Garstang at Cougar Park in the Hallmark Security League Division One North.
