DOES anyone recognise this ‘Unknown Soldier’ from the First World War?
The young man’s photograph was found in items belonging to a family who are appealing for information.
“I should be grateful to readers of the Telegraph and Argus for any information leading to his identity,” said Doreen Bartlett, of Woodbridge, Suffolk. “It’s a postcard dating from about 1914 that was found amongst family memorabilia and is thought to picture the ‘sweetheart’ of my late auntie, Hilda Wilson.
“The soldier, dressed in the uniform of Leeds University Officer Training Corps, is understood to have died in the Great War. He may have lived in the Grange Avenue area of Bradford.”
