PLANS have been unveiled that would see a development of shops, flats and a cafe built on the site of a Bradford car wash.
This artists’ impression shows what the site, at 1222 Leeds Road, could look like if the development plans are approved by Bradford Council.
Overland Developments has submitted a planning application to build a three storey building containing four shops, a cafe and nine apartments on the site - opposite Ice Stone Gelato and currently occupied by a hand car wash.
The flats would all be one bedroom, and the development would include parking for 13 cars and eight bicycles to the rear of the building.
The application says that if approved, the development would create 15 full time and 18 part time jobs, and include 332 square metres of retail and a 275 square metre cafe.
The shops would open from 9am to 6pm and the cafe would open from 9am to 10pm.
A decision on the planning application is expected to be made by the Council next month.
