BRADFORD Economic Partnership and Bradford Council are hosting a free Invest in Bradford Enterprise Network Event to encourage people to find out about the funding, finance and grants available to enable their business to grow and expand.

The event will take place at Margaret McMillan Tower, Bradford, on Wednesday, January 30, from 7.30am to 9.30am.

The aim of the event is to showcase the various funding options available to businesses from across the Bradford district helping them to unlock the growth potential for both new and established businesses.

The event will also provide the opportunity for networking and meeting experts working in a range of finance areas. Business Advisers from the council will also be available to give information and answer questions about the support they can provide through Invest in Bradford.

The event will be opened by Bradford Council leader Coun Susan Hinchcliffe, followed by a presentation by Jeremy Meadowcroft from the Business Enterprise Fund, which provides loans to SME businesses to help them thrive and grow when other lenders can’t fully assist.

Ravinder Panesar from Ad:Venture, which provides free business development support and guidance for businesses less than 3 years old, with growth potential will also give a presentation.

Melissa Liburd a Business Growth Advisor from the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership will provide an overview of programmes of support available in the Leeds City Region.

Coun Alex Ross-Shaw will bring the session to a close with highlights of some key aspects for Bradford’s regeneration in 2019.

Coun Alex Ross-Shaw said: “There are lots of different options available for businesses from across the whole of the district and this free event aims to give people the opportunity to find out about the funding support available, the eligibility criteria and the processes to obtain funding and finance, so that they can grow and thrive.

“This event is part of the Bradford Economic Partnership’s role in directing collaborative actions to shape future growth and is in line with our strategy which is focused on unlocking the growth potential of both new business start-up’s and established businesses, to deliver sustainable growth that everyone can contribute to and benefit from.”
