A BRADFORD school chef will battle it out for the regional title of Yorkshire & Humber School Chef of Year 2019.
Michelle Brook, who works for Bradford Council, will represent Blakehill Primary School as she goes head to head against some of the region's best cooks on January 16 at Doncaster College.
Michelle will have to prepare four portions of a main course and a dessert suitable for 11-year-olds in school.
She has chosen to cook pulled Mexican chicken tostado with a mole salsa, refried beans and served with a mild fajita slaw and a fresh fruit with lime jelly dessert, complete with homemade vanilla ice cream and a fresh churro.
Michelle will have 90 minutes to cook the meals.
The winner will go on to represent the region against nine other Regional Champions in the National Final on March 7.
